Pumps for District Heating
With decades of district heating experience from Denmark and other northern markets, DESMI delivers energy-efficient pump solutions for both heat production and the transmission and distribution network.
District heating distributes hot water from a central energy source - such as CHP plants, waste-to-energy, industrial surplus heat, or renewables - through a network to residential and commercial buildings, before returning the cooled water for re-heating. The result is a flexible, scalable way to supply heat efficiently while supporting the transition to lower-carbon energy sources.
Because heat is the world’s largest energy end-use - around half of global final energy consumption - improving heat efficiency is one of the strongest levers for cutting emissions at scale.

Proven in Denmark - and beyond
Denmark is one of the most mature district heating markets in the world, with around two-thirds of households supplied by district heating - a track record that has shaped strong standards for efficiency and reliability.
DESMI has supplied district heating pump solutions for almost 90 years, bringing proven technology and practical know-how to help utilities and contractors build reliable networks with lower operating costs.
